Moab has three scenic Byways. All three routes offer many opportunities to get out of your vehicle to explore.

|
Scenic Highway 128 starts just north of Moab at the Colorado River. The majority of the byway follows the Colorado River. Once the highway leaves the river, you can either turn around or continue up to Interstate 70. The byway is 44 miles long one way.

Scenic Hwy 279 starts 3 miles north of Moab off U.S. Hwy 191. The byway follows the Colorado River for the entire 17 miles (one-way). Once you get to the Potash Plant, you will need to turn around as the road turns to gravel.
